Why Kroonz

Your budget spreadsheet isn’t a budget. It’s a second job.

Spreadsheets do exactly what you tell them to, which is the problem. Most budgeting apps swap that for ads, upsells and twelve charts you’ll never read. Kroonz does the boring part and then gets out of the way.

  • Typing in receipts every Sunday night

Bank transactions come straight from your bank

  • A formula broke in March. Nobody noticed until June.

Totals that stay right, because nobody retypes them

  • Five apps open just to see where you stand

Your accounts and investments on one screen

  • A category called “misc”. And one called “misc 2”.

Rules that sort your transactions in one click, plus an inbox for the rest

  • Finding out you overspent after the month is over

Every budget shows what’s spent and what’s left

Features

A financial tracker that does the work, so you only have to look.

Budgets that fill themselves in

Set a budget per category: daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. Kroonz fills it in from your real transactions, so you always see what’s spent and what’s left.

Hide what doesn’t count

Moving money to your own savings account, or a Tikkie a friend paid back? Hide it with a rule and it stops skewing your numbers, dashboard included.

Sorting in one click

Give each category simple rules, like contains “albert heijn”. Press Auto-categorize and every matching transaction is filed. Whatever’s left waits in an inbox.

One screen. Only the numbers that matter.

What’s available to spend, where it went and how your budgets are doing. No ads, no credit card offers, no forty-item sidebar. Open it, see where you stand, close it.

Your bank and your broker, side by side

Connect your bank accounts and, on a paid plan, your Trading 212 account. Paid plans also sync every day on their own, so spending and investments stay up to date without lifting a finger.

Security

Your data isn’t the product

Budgeting means handing over your most personal numbers. Here’s how Kroonz looks after them.

  • All sensitive data is encrypted

Account numbers, account holder names, bank connections and API keys are stored encrypted, and everything that travels between you and Kroonz is encrypted too.

  • Read-only bank connections

Linked through a licensed open-banking provider. Kroonz can read transactions, never move money.

  • Never sold. Never used for ads.

Your financial data stays yours. Kroonz doesn’t sell it or use it for advertising.

  • Sign in with Google

No new password to remember or leak.

  • Disconnect means delete

Remove a bank connection and everything imported from it goes too.

FAQ

Straight answers

The things people ask before they close their spreadsheet for good.

How is Kroonz different from a budgeting spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet only knows what you type into it. Kroonz syncs your bank transactions, helps you sort them with your own rules and keeps every total and budget current on its own. You get the clarity of a well-kept sheet without the upkeep.

Are my transactions sorted automatically?

You give each category simple rules once, for example “contains albert heijn” for Groceries. Press Auto-categorize and Kroonz runs all your rules over the transactions that don’t have a category yet. Whatever’s left waits in an inbox where you file it in a few taps.

Which banks does Kroonz work with?

Kroonz connects to your bank through open banking (GoCardless). Right now that works with ABN AMRO, ASN Bank, bunq, ING, Knab, NN Bank, Rabobank, RegioBank, Revolut, SNS, Triodos Bank and Van Lanschot Kempen. The connection is read-only.

Can I track my investments too?

Yes, on the Household and Family plans. Link a Trading 212 account and your dashboard shows what you’ve invested right next to what you can spend.

Is my financial data safe?

Sensitive details like account numbers, bank connections and API keys are stored encrypted, and all traffic is encrypted too. Bank connections are read-only, so Kroonz can see transactions but can’t move money. Disconnecting a bank deletes everything that came from it.

What does Kroonz cost?

The Free plan costs nothing and needs no credit card. Household is for two people and costs €4.99 a month or €49 a year. Family is for up to six people and costs €7.99 a month or €79 a year. Both paid plans add daily auto-sync, Trading 212 and more room. One person pays for the whole household. The pricing section lists the exact limits.

Close the spreadsheet. Open Kroonz.
